REGISTERING
How do I register?
*Registration is simple and only takes a matter minutes.To start the signup process, click on the register button at the top of any page on this site. Only users with the age over 18 years are allowed to register. The next step is to fill in all your information, failure to supply all the required information will result in an "account not approved" status and require admin approval before you can use it. The e-mail you used to register will receive an activation e-mail which will redirect you to a confirmation page. Your account will be activated instantly, but you will not be able to sell until you pay the required one time Verification Fee. If you only wish to register as a Buyer, that fee is not required. Please be advised your account will not be active until you use the activation e-mail sent from ONA (Overnight Auctions).
* Be sure to set your e-mail filters to accept mail from ONA so we can update you on your listings and other important information.
My Password or ID Does Not Work! What Do I Do?
*First be sure you have activated your account. Our site generates an activation code and emails it to you when you register. You can have activation code re-sent to you from the Login page if you accidentally deleted our email before activating it or did not receive it. ALSO, Passwords are case-sensitive. Make sure you're entering it exactly, using lowercase or capital letters as needed. If all else fails, please contact our Support Team to obtain your User ID or have your password reset. ***NOTE: If you have input a wrong password three times, the system will lock you out on the server, you will need to have your account password reset by administration.***
Why Can't I Sign Up If I Am under 18 years of age?
*In accordance with standard law users under age 18 cannot participate in auctions as they are legal binding contracts.
SELLING
How can I list an item?
*You must first be a registered member AND have paid the one time Verification Fee. Once you have registered simply login to your account and click on the Sell link located at the top of the site. The first thing to do is select a general category for your item, note that you can choose a more specific category further into the listing process. You can then select a second category if you wish, for a small fee, or choose "skip this step" at the top right hand side of the page. You will then be taken to another page to enter in your chosen settings and item description.
What Is The Verification Fee?
*Our Verification Fee is a small ONE TIME fee that allows you to "verify" you are who you say you are, either by Paypal, Google Checkout, or Money Order. This is NOT Required, but requested the first time you sign up and attempt to sell, for your protection as well as ours. You will never be asked to pay this fee again on the same account. This is for your security as well as ours.
How can I keep track of items I'm selling?
*You can keep an eye on everything you are selling by visiting your members area and selecting the "selling" page on the left side.
Can I use HTML when listing an item
*Yes you can! We recomend you use basic tags as complex HTML descriptions may not display correctly. To use HTML, find the symbol at the top right side of your description box that looks like this < >. Click that, and a pop up page will appear where you can input your information. Once finished, click apply... then ok... and it will automatically transfer to the main description box for you.
What happens after an auction sells?
*You (and your buyer) will receive an email notification of the sale with a link to your Sold Items page to complete the transaction. Once there, you have four selections to the very right of the sold item... "Message Board" allows you to communicate with your buyer and gives his/her address and email, "Leave Comments" allows you to leave Feedback for the transaction, "Send Bank Details" - this does not apply on ONA, please ignore this link - and "Delete." Please be aware that if you delete a listing from here, it is also removed from your closed auction list, and sometimes from the Buyer's side also. Be very sure you are finished with the listing before using this!
My Buyer Does Not Respond To Invoices Or Repeated Emails. What Do I Do?
*Please allow adequate time for the Buyer to contact you. You can communicate via email or by your Message Board. If all else fails, and more than 7 days have passed, please contact Support for further assistance.
How Do I Use The ONA Bulk Lister?
*Our bulk lister is set up so your uploaded auctions immediately post to the auction site once submitted. You may access the bulk lister by signing into your account and going to your Members area. There you will see the button for the bulk lister called "Bulk Application" with a "Details" link below it. You must download the Bulklister (called PaxBulk) first. Instructions are on-site, but if you need further help, please email Support.
BIDDING
How can I place a bid?
*To place a bid on an item you must first login to your account. Once logged in a bidding box will be displayed at top and bottom of all auction pages. You can use this box to place you chosen bid. Alternatively, in many listings, you can use the "Buy Now!" link right above the top bidding box to purchase your item instantly.
How can I keep track of items I'm bidding on?
*You can keep an eye on everything you are bidding on by visiting your members area and selecting the "bidding" page on the left side.
How do I know if I am outbid on an item or that I have won the item?
*Our auction system will automatically notify you via email if you are outbid or if you win the item.
*If you accidently input the incorrect amount in the bid box, (such as $10 instead of $1.00) please contact Support immediately to have the bid retracted. You can then (and we prefer you do!) re-bid the correct amount. If you just change your mind and wish the bid retracted, that will not be allowed. Remember, all bids are legally binding contracts!
I Won An Item, But The Seller Has Either Not Contacted Me Or Has Not Responded To My Emails. What Do I Do?
*Please allow adequate time for the Seller to contact you. You can communicate via email or by your Message Board. If all else fails, or more than 7 days have passed, you should contact Support for further assistance.
OTHER
Can I Place Links To Other Sites In My Auction Listings Or eStore?
*We prefer you do not put links to other Auction Sites on ONA. You may put a link to your personal website if it is not another Auction site, to Traffic Exchanges, Repatoo, or similar sites only. If in doubt, ask Support first.
